Overview
Entities within the Workforce Module of HRplus represent the various hierarchical components of an organisation that define the organisational structure. The levels include:
Company: The overarching legal entity representing the entire organization.Division: Major functional areas or business units within the company.Department: Specialized teams or functions within a division.Section: Sub-groups within a department for more granular categorization.
Steps to Create an Entity
To set up an entity, follow these steps:

Go to: Workforce > Setup > Entities
Initiate Entity Creation:
- Navigate to the "Entity Management" section.
- Click on "Create New Entity".

Select Entity Type:
- Choose the appropriate Entity Type (Company, Division, Department, Section) from the dropdown menu.
Enter Entity Details:
- Code: Assign a unique identifier for the entity.
- Description: Provide a clear and concise name or description.
Set Active Dates:
- Start Date: Specify when the entity becomes active.
- Tip: The Start Date should be on or before the oldest position start date in the company to ensure historical accuracy and proper data alignment.
- End Date: Indicate when the entity will be deactivated, if applicable. Leave this field blank if there is no planned deactivation date.
Assign Account Segment Number:
- Input the Account Segment Number for general ledger (GL) financial tracking.
- Tip: Consult with your finance department to ensure correct alignment with GL structures.
Review and Save:
- Verify all entered information for accuracy.
- Click "Save" to finalize the entity creation.
